Why NON GMO?

People are often concerned about clean and healthy food. Businesses are now meticulous about using only quality organic ingredients and working exclusively with plant-based farmers and producers who use sustainable farming methods.

Why NON GMO?

In this context, genetically modified foodstuffs are avoided. Organic certifications specifically oppose the inclusion of genetically modified organisms in food, and avoiding GMOs is still very important for businesses.

In order for a food to be labeled as non-GMO, it must contain no more than 1 percent of genetically modified ingredients. In this regard, food that is not labeled as non-GMO is not legally considered non-GMO.

Genetically modified organisms are products that have been genetically modified to give plants the desired characteristics during the production stages. In many countries, food products that are not labeled as NON GMO or GMO FREE or GMO Label are defined as products developed with biotechnology methods.

Biotechnology is the study of transferring a desirable feature found in nature from one plant to another under laboratory conditions. In addition, an existing feature in a plant's DNA is changed by these methods. GMO products are defined as products produced using biotechnology methods.

When GMO crops were first introduced, better nutrition and higher crop yields were aimed. However, over time, gene splicing and biotechnological methods have started to have almost the opposite effect on crops.

Today, scientific evidence reveals that GMO seeds are not the solution to reducing world hunger, improving nutrition and achieving higher yields as promised. Despite this, GMO products dominate food chains all over the world. More than 80 percent of all genetically modified crops grown worldwide are designed for herbicide tolerance. As a result, the use of toxic herbicides has been steadily increasing since the introduction of GMOs.

GMO crops also give rise to supergrass and superbugs, which can be killed by increasingly toxic poisons. These organisms also mutate over time. GMOs are linked to the herbicide glyphosate, which is recognized as a cancer-causing substance by the World Health Organization. is inherently dependent. Genetically modified crops seem to benefit large chemical companies and their agricultural extensions, while putting small farmers in a difficult position to harvest without herbicide-resistant seeds. On the other hand, the long-term effects of the introduction of GMO foodstuffs into agriculture have not been determined yet.

For all these reasons, people look for the NON GMO or GMO FREE label on the products they choose. This is important both in terms of protecting their own health and not going against the original laws of nature.

People care about their health more consciously. Our organization acts with a sense of responsibility in order to be with people who have this idea and to help them choose the foodstuffs they will need, and tries to support the manufacturers to prove their efforts in this direction.
